Yes, completely free! Black Hills Side Quest events are always free to attend. We do accept voluntary donations to support the Minneluzahan Senior Center, but there is absolutely no cost to come and enjoy the evening.

Everyone! Black Hills Side Quest is an all-ages event. We welcome families with kids, seniors, young adults, and everyone in between. Whether you're 8 or 80, there's something for you.

When and where is it?

Every Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Minneluzahan Senior Center, 315 N. 4th Street, Rapid City, SD 57701. No reservations needed — just show up!

Do I need to sign up or RSVP?

Nope! Just walk in. There's no registration, no sign-up, and no ticket required. Show up any Friday and you're in.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely — and many people do! One of the best things about BHSQ is that it's easy to meet people. Our welcome team will greet you at the door, and there's always a game or activity to jump into. You won't be alone for long.

What should I bring?

Just yourself! We provide all games, supplies, and activities. If you want to bring a game or craft project to share, you're welcome to — but it's not required. Bring money if you'd like to buy food from the featured food truck.

What happens at a typical event?

Each Friday has a theme — Game Night, Maker Station, Brinner & Cartoons, and more. You'll find tables set up with different activities, a featured local food truck outside, and a room full of friendly people. Come and go as you please — stay for an hour or the whole evening.

Is there food available?

Yes! We feature a different local food truck at most events. Food truck menus and prices vary — check the Events page to see who's rolling up each Friday. Food truck food is not included in the free admission; you purchase directly from the truck.

There is free parking available at and around the Minneluzahan Senior Center at 315 N. 4th Street in downtown Rapid City. Street parking is also available nearby.

Is it okay to bring my dog?

Service animals are always welcome. For the comfort and safety of all guests, we ask that pet dogs stay home unless they are a certified service animal.
